Body Tall, branched with leafy twigs, sparsely to densely white to brownish puberulous
Height 0,5-5 m, often around 2 m tall
Leaves Obovate to oblanceolate  or oblong to elliptic, 3-21 x 1-9 cm.
Flowers Solitary or in pairs, (pale-)greenish, flower stem up to 3 cm long, receptable 0,4-1,5 cm in diameter, flowering face oblong, 2-9 appendages, mostly 4, up to 3 cm long.
Reproduction Seed from infrutescens
Area From Guinea to W Zaire;
In primary and secondary forest;
At altitudes up to 450 m.
