Leaves In spirals, sometimes subrosulate, orbicular, broadly to narrowly elliptic, ovata, obovate or lanceolate, 4-19 x 2,5-12 cm
Flowers Mostly solitary, peduncle initially erect, 1-7 cm long, flowering face purple, 0,7-2 cm in diameter, fringe up to 1,5 mm broad
Reproduction Infrutescens unknown, seed
Area In SE Nigeria, Cameroun, Gabon and Congo;
In forest, usually along rivers, often in periodically flooded places, often among rocks;
At altitudes up to 1000 m.
