Body Rhizomatous, stem ascending, 2,5 mm thick, woody at the base
Height Up to 1,2 m tall
Leaves Elliptic to oblong or obovate, sometimes narrowed below the middle
Flowers Solitary or in pairs, greenish to purplish, flower stem relatively short, 1-2,7 cm long, flowering face round to irregular shaped, 0,7-2,5 cm in diameter, numerous appendages, primary appendages 10-15, as long as the diameter of the flowering face.
Reproduction Seed
Area In Nigeria, Cameroun, Gabon, West Congo and West Zaire;
In forest and on riverbanks;
At altitudes up to 800 m.
