Body Rhizomatous, stem ascending, 2,5 mm thick, woody at the base
Height Up to 1,2 m tall
Leaves Elliptic to oblong or obovate, sometimes narrowed below the middle
Flowers Solitary or in pairs, greenish to purplish, flower stem 1,5-5 cm long, flowering face round to irregular shaped, 0,7-2,5 cm in diameter, numerous appendages, primary appendages 10-15, up to 3 cm long, longer then the diameter of the flowering face. Has several lateral appendages.
Reproduction Seed
Area In Congo, S Gabon and Cameroun (two localities);
In forest, in moist places along rivers;
At altitudes up to 800 m.
